Dear Aspirants, After analysing the Question papers of the different shift in the CGL 2017 Tier 1 we have come to the conclusion that cut off for this year in Tier 1 might get decreased but not as much as everyone is talking about.
There are some factors which may affect the cutoff for this year CGL 2017.
1.Although the timing was reduced by 15 minutes this year, the difficulty level of the exam was not consistent throughout the All shifts.
2.Papers of some sets were way too easy and on the other hand, some papers were really lengthy.
3.If SSC doesn't introduce shift wise cutoff (normalisation) like Bank Exams, this would be unfair to those candidates who prepared whole year and due to the difficulty level of the shift could not score well in the examination. and on the other hand, this would be beneficial for those who studied for last moment for the exam.
However, the level of exam in the different shift will play a vital role in deciding cutoff marks.
